Calling all ghosts and ghouls, join us for our annual event. With a trick or treat trail through Africa, magic shows, a costume contest at 7:00 each night, and so much more, come out and enjoy this family friendly event. Lines are scary, buy tickets ahead of time and get in faster!

Breakfast with the…Monkeys
Our popular series is back, with new breakfast opportunities.
Join us for a light breakfast while learning about the animal of the day. Then head down to their exhibit and see the featured animal enjoy their breakfast too! This is perfect for the entire family, enjoy breakfast and then head out and see the rest of the Zoo.
The Monkey breakfast is offered on Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th.

Spooky Creatures & Scary Plants
Instructors: Zoo & Botanical Garden Staff
Within nature, there are many spooky creatures and seriously dangerous, even frightening, plants. In the spirit of Howl-Zoo-Ween and the Chrysanthemum Show “The Nightmare before Christmas”, we will explore sensationally spooky creatures and beautiful but dangerous plants. The class will be held at the new Tropics classroom at the Zoo (use the old Zoo entrance). Halloween fun for the whole family! Spooky snacks will be served!

ZOO BREW and WINE TOO
This wildly popular event is returning to the Zoo again in October. Guests socialize and sample a wide variety of beer and fine wine as they explore Africa! after hours at Peoria Zoo. This event also includes appetizers, live music and dessert.

Behind the Scenes Tour
How much do rhinos weigh? Where do giraffes sleep? All this and more will be answered during our behind the scenes tours. This hour long tour will take you into areas the public doesn’t normally get to see, you can learn more about the animals and how we care for them. Offered April 25, May 30, June 27, July 25, August 29, September 26, and October 31 at 9:00 am.
