Glow Wild
This spring, Peoria Zoo transforms into a dazzling wonderland as the Glow Wild Lantern Festival lights up the night with vibrant colors, cultural artistry, and unforgettable family experiences. Presented by Kaleido Entertainment in collaboration with the Peoria Park District, this spectacular event will run from March 1 through April 30, offering guests a luminescent journey filled with handmade, traditional Chinese lanterns, interactive activities, and live entertainment.

- Times: 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. (last entrance at 8:30 p.m.)*

- *For those who come earlier in the evening, enjoy the activities, food and beverage while watching the sunset over our African savannah- it’s the perfect spot to see the lights come aglow at dusk! We recommend staying past sunset for the best glow experience.

Featuring the stunning work of Chief Artist Yu Wang, a Sichuan native whose family has deep roots in traditional Chinese lantern craftsmanship, Glow Wild combines centuries-old artistry with modern LED technology. Each lantern tells a unique story, blending Chinese legends, lore, and the beauty of nature.

Entertainment Schedule:
Fridays: Enjoy Safari Joe, a lively musician who sings fun, animal-themed songs for kids! Each Friday brings two sets, one from 6-6:30 and another from 7-7:30pm in Africa!
Saturdays: Live music fills the air with performances from local bands from 6-8pm each Saturday night. Full schedule is below but please note, entertainment can change at anytime.
